Neighborhoods Worth Knowing

Franklin's growth has been deliberate, and it shows in how well the newer communities integrate with the historic core.

• Downtown Franklin / Main Street — Civil War-era storefronts now hold boutiques, restaurants, and the Franklin Theatre; this is the city's front porch.
• Westhaven — New Urbanist master-plan with its own town center, pools, and trails; consistently the county's most in-demand address.
• Berry Farms — Newer mixed-use development on the south side with its own retail and restaurant row.
• Fieldstone Farms — One of Franklin's largest established communities: 720 acres, over 2,100 homes, mature oak canopies, and four community parks off Hillsboro Road.
• Ladd Park — Family-friendly newer community known for resort-style amenities.

Where Locals Eat & Shop

• Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant — the downtown institution: meat-and-three by day, live music by night.
• Gray's on Main — upscale Southern in a restored 1930s drugstore building.
• Merridee's Breadbasket — bakery and cafe that's been a Main Street fixture for decades.
• The Factory at Franklin — a converted stove factory now home to boutiques, restaurants, and event space.

• Main Street Festival — late April, one of Tennessee's largest arts and crafts festivals.
• Pumpkinfest — October, downtown fills with vendors and a costume parade.
• Dickens of a Christmas — December weekend, Main Street goes full Victorian.
